One app instead of a food tracker and a workout log
A lot of people who lift and count macros run two or three apps: a food tracker such as MyFitnessPal, a workout log such as Hevy or Strong, and something else for runs. Plated does all three in one free iPhone app, and adds a feed for sharing your progress with friends.
What Plated covers
| What you track | In Plated | Free or Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Calories and macros | Daily targets, a large food database, barcode scanning and your own foods and recipes | Free |
| Eating out | Menus from major US restaurant chains, logged by the serving, by weight or by the piece | Free |
| Nutrition labels | Photograph a label in any language and it fills in the food for you | Pro |
| Lifting | Every set, automatic PRs, custom exercises, and a separate history for each brand of machine | Free |
| Progression | Suggested weight and reps for your next set, a muscle heatmap and estimated one-rep maxes | Pro |
| Cardio | Runs and rides on a map, with distance, pace, splits and elevation | Free |
| Friends | A feed of your workouts, and comparing any lift from a friend’s post with your own | Free |
| Stickers | PR and run-route stickers to post on Instagram and elsewhere | Free |
Switching from Hevy or Strong
Export your workouts as a CSV from Hevy or Strong and import the file into Plated. It matches each exercise to its own library and shows you any match it isn’t sure of before saving, so your PRs and progress charts carry over without splitting one lift into two.
